Meadowood Manor
Meadowood Manor is an 88-bed Personal Care Home and 89-suite Independent Living Seniors’ Apartment Tower located at 575 – 577 St. Anne’s Road, Winnipeg. Meadowood Manor is owned and operated by the Manitoba Baptist Home Society Inc., which is affiliated with the Manitoba Baptist Association of the North American Baptist Conference.
Meadowood Manor Foundation
Meadowood Manor Foundation is a separately organized and independently governed organization that provides financial support to Meadowood Manor in two ways by funding:
- Chaplaincy Program that provides spiritual care on a full-time basis to the Residents, Tenants, families, friends and staff, and to the greater community of Meadowood Manor; and
- Special Projects that enhance the living experience of those who live at Meadowood Manor, primarily by improving the physical environment in which they reside.
Meadowood Manor Foundation is able to accomplish these objectives through the generosity of its many donors.
How Your Gift Helps
Spiritually
Your gift enables the proclamation of the truth, love and compassion of Jesus Christ to all those who are part of the Meadowood Manor community. Our Chaplaincy Program is what sets Meadowood Manor apart from other seniors’ residences.
Emotionally
Your generosity allows the Foundation to fund the Chaplaincy Ministry at Meadowood Manor which not only supports the spiritual growth of Meadowood Manor’s Residents and Tenants but also facilitates community and emotional wellbeing.
Physically
Your gift helps the Foundation to fund special projects to improve the Meadowood Manor facilities and therefore the lives of all those that call Meadowood Manor their home.

The Chaplaincy Ministry provides compassion, encouragement and assistance in navigating a challenging time of life. Meadowood Manor’s Chaplain also provides visitation, bible study, prayer, worship services and a pastoral presence to Residents and Tenants.
For the Residents and Tenants at Meadowood Manor who have been a part of a community of faith their whole life, Meadowood Manor’s Chaplain ensures that they do not feel removed from that community of faith once they move into Meadowood Manor.
Special Projects
In addition to ongoing Chaplaincy support the Meadowood Manor Foundation also funds Special Projects.
Since 2011 the Meadowood Manor Foundation has spent more than $400,000 on special projects to improve the lives of the Residents and Tenants at Meadowood Manor.
These special projects fall into 3 main categories:
Facilities Improvement
The Meadowood Manor Foundation works to make sure the facilities of Meadowood Manor not only meet the needs of its Residents and Tenants but also help them feel at home and valued.

Elevator Renovations
Renovation of the elevator cab interior in the Personal Care Home.
Hair Salon
Updated cabinetry, flooring, paint, hair washing station, lighting and art.
Friendship Room Kitchenette
New cabinetry, flooring and appliances.
Medical & Accessibility Support
To ensure our Residents and Tenants have the best quality of life, The Foundation makes sure they have the supports and access needed to enjoy that life!

Adaptive Tables
Adaptive tables purchased for the dining room guarantees that Residents of all levels of mobility have dignity and a positive experience when dining.
Pressure Relieving Mattresses
These special mattresses provide comfort and support as well as help prevent and relieve stress on the pressure points of the body.
OxyGo - portable oxygen
Offering portable oxygen allows Residents to be away from an oxygen concentrator for extended periods of time increasing their freedom.
Comfort & Quality of Life
Meadowood Manor is not just a ‘facility’ it is a home. The Meadowood Manor Foundation wants all Residents and Tenants of The Manor to love their home and feel comfortable there.

Artwork
A home with bare walls can feel institutional, bright and colourful artwork helps Residents and Tenants take pride in their home while enjoying living there.
Musical Instruments
Music is powerful! It is so beneficial and has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and potentially improve health and cognition.
Monthly Entertainment Budget
Meadowood Manor Foundation provides a monthly budget to fund a variety of musical entertainment for our Residents and Tenants enjoyment.
